Keynote Speakers:
Bruce Schneier, Founder and CTO BT Counterpane (Nov. 5 Breakfast Keynote)
Bruce Schneier, the internationally renowned security technologist was referred to by The Economist as a "security guru”.  Author of eight books -- including the best sellers Beyond Fear: Thinking Sensibly about Security in an Uncertain World, Secrets and Lies, and Applied Cryptography -- and hundreds of articles and academic papers, his influential newsletter, Crypto-Gram, and blog "Schneier on Security," are read by over 250,000 people.  Mr. Schneier is a prolific writer and lecturer, a frequent guest on television and radio, and is regularly quoted in the press on issues surrounding security and privacy. 
Pip Coburn, Principal & Founder Coburn Ventures (Nov. 5 Luncheon Keynote)
Pip Coburn founded, along with his core team from UBS, Coburn Ventures, an organization that puts its knowledge about "change" to work in the realm of technology, telecom, and media investing. Prior to founding Coburn Ventures, Pip Coburn was a Managing Director and the global technology strategist in the technology group of UBS Investment Research. He has been featured in Fast Company, Barron’s, Fortune, Smart Money and MIT's Technology Review.  His book “The Change Function: Why Some Technologies Take Off and Others Crash and Burn”, addresses why some technologies are adopted and why most are not.
Nicholas Carr, Business Writer (Nov. 6 Breakfast Keynote)
His article, IT Doesn't Matter, published in the Harvard Business Review, set off a world wide debate on the value of information technology in business.  Nicholas writes a column on innovation for Strategy & Business, where he's a contributing editor, and writes on technology for BusinessWeek. In 2005, Optimize magazine named him one of the top five "emerging thinkers" on information technology.  His upcoming book, The Big Switch: Our New Digital Destiny, examines the future of computing and its implications for business and society.
Ted Demopoulos, Principal, Demopoulos Associates (Nov. 7 Breakfast Key Note)
Ted Demopoulos’ professional background includes over 25 years of experience in Information Technology and Business, including 15 years as an independent consultant. Ted has helped start a successful information security company, was the CTO at a "textbook failure" of a software startup, and has advised several other startups. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and other business events, author of What No One Ever Tells You About Blogging and Podcasting: Real-Life Advice from 101 People Who Successfully Leverage the Power of the Blogosphere, coauthor of  Blogging for Business, and the principal of Demopoulos Associates.
Jim Christy, Director, Futures Exploration for the Defense Cyber Crime Center (Nov. 7 Luncheon Key Note)
Jim Christy is a recently retired Federal Agent from the Air Force Office of Special Investigations who specialized in cyber crime investigations and digital evidence for over 20 years.  Jim is well known as the original case agent in the "Hanover Hacker" case, which involved a group of German hackers electronically penetrating Department of Defense computer systems all over the world and then selling the information to the Soviet KGB. This case was detailed in the best seller, "The Cuckoo's Egg", by Dr. Cliff Stoll and in a docu-drama produced by the Public Broadcast System.
Steven Rambam, Founder & CEO, Pallorium (Closing Key Note Nov. 7)
Steven is a licensed Investigative Agency with offices and affiliates worldwide. Since 1980, Pallorium's investigators have successfully closed more than 8,000 cases, ranging from homicide investigations to missing persons cases to the investigation of various types of sophisticated financial and insurance frauds. Steven was one of the first investigators to expose "prime bank note" and "trading programs" frauds, and his investigations in conjunction with U.S. federal law enforcement agencies resulted in some of the first convictions and imprisonment of prime bank note fraudsters.
