The Opportunity
The ICE 2007 Technology Conference will be held from November
5 - 7, 2007 at the Shaw Conference Centre. We require volunteers
to work in various roles during the four-day conference and
recognize that our volunteers are key to our success. Typical
volunteer roles include working at the registration desk, session
room monitors, facilities assistants, and guest services assistants.
Volunteers are primarily sought from IT educational institutions
and from our own CIPS Edmonton membership. If you are interested
in the IT industry or have an affiliation with the IT community
in Edmonton, you are welcome to volunteer for the conference.
The hard work and dedication from our volunteers is truly appreciated.

The Commitment
We ask that Volunteers need to be willing to commit to a half-day,
one-day, or multiple-day work assignments during the conference.
Every effort will be made to schedule volunteers on the volunteer's
first choice of date(s). We also ask that you make yourself
available for a training/orientation session for all
volunteers to be held on Sunday, November 4th at
2:00 p.m. in Salons 5 & 6 at the Shaw Conference
Centre. During this session, tasks and responsibilities are
outlined and assigned, and any questions
or concerns will be addressed. Please note that priority
for Volunteer opportunities will be given to students.
